Dr. Elizabeth A. Owino is an Educational Psychologist and is currently serving as the Director of Quality Assurance at the University of Kigali, Rwanda. She has vast experience in higher education that spans many years. She has held many positions including being an ex-officio member of Education International Research Board representing Africa, Board member for the African Women in Education (AWEN) and the chair of Women Network of Education in East Africa. She is the founder chair of Universities Academic Staff Union Women Caucus.

She has also served as the chair of education Board at the Eldoret Diocese of the Anglican Church of Kenya. Currently Dr. Owino serves as the board chair of Kuza Dada Board, a founder member of Network of Professional Women, and a member of Board for African Character Initiation Program (ACIP). Dr. Owino is also a member of various professional organizations: Forum of African Women in Education (FAWE), Kenya Association of Professional Counselors (KAPC), African Network of Internationalization of Education (ANIE) East African Network of Quality Assurance (EAQAN)ANIE), amongst others.

Despite her busy schedule, Dr. Owino is an active member of Toastmasters international club, a leadership andcommunication club, an avid reader and loves hosting and traveling. Dr. Owino is an author and has published in various peer reviewed journals.
